most shows during fashion week make it painfully obvious what we’re lacking in our closets. i’m delighted to say that if you did any sort of wardrobe investing this fall and winter, you can actually enjoy a sigh of relief looking towards fall 2013 style, knowing that you already own some of the foundational elements.

i attended DKNY yesterday and saw a number of things we already have in our closets, just reworked in small ways — like animal prints, color-blocked coats with leather sleeves and peplum tops. new to the season, and as seen on some of the other runways is neoprene — whether fashioned into a sweatshirt or coat, it’s all over the runways and definitely an item i’d suggest you keep your eyes out for more of. xoxo.
